Professor (Dr.) A.K. Srivastava was born and raised in a rural community in a small village. He completed his B.V.Sc. and A.H., M.V.Sc., and PhD in the years 1995, 1998, and 2003 respectively from a reputed veterinary institute. He began his career as an Assistant Professor in 2005, advancing to Associate Professor in 2012 and full Professor in 2018. With over 25 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration, he has held key positions such as Director of Research, Department Chair, and Academic Advisor.
Prof. A.K. Srivastava has guided several Ph.D. and M.V.Sc. students, contributing significantly to research in animal health and reproductive physiology. He has authored over 75 research papers in prestigious journals and written numerous academic books. His extensive research focuses on reproductive technologies and animal health management.
Under his leadership, the institute established state-of-the-art research laboratories specializing in artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and livestock genetics. His efforts led to the development of innovative techniques for improving animal breeding practices and health care.
The institute, under Prof. Srivastava’s guidance, has trained hundreds of veterinary professionals, para-veterinary staff, and farmers, fostering advancements in animal care and management. Collaborative research projects and extension services have significantly impacted the farming community.
He has spearheaded numerous academic events, workshops, and community outreach programs aimed at promoting veterinary education and animal welfare. His contributions have earned him several awards and recognitions in the field of veterinary science.
