Ensuring Excellence in Veterinary Education

The following academic regulations are in place to ensure the smooth functioning of all educational programs at KPC PET Hospital:

1. Admission Criteria

  • Admissions are based on merit and eligibility as per the guidelines set by the institution.
  • Applicants must submit all required documents before the specified deadlines.
  • Reserved seats, if any, will comply with government norms.

2. Attendance Requirements

  • A minimum attendance of 75% is mandatory for all theory and practical classes.
  • Students failing to meet the attendance criteria will be ineligible to appear for final examinations.
  • Medical emergencies may be considered on a case-by-case basis with appropriate documentation.

3. Examination Regulations

  • Internal assessments and final exams are conducted as per the approved academic calendar.
  • Students must secure at least 50% marks in both theory and practical components to pass any subject.
  • Re-examinations will be allowed for students who do not meet the passing criteria.

4. Grading System

  • 90% and above: A+
  • 80% to 89%: A
  • 70% to 79%: B+
  • 60% to 69%: B
  • 50% to 59%: C
  • Below 50%: Fail

5. Academic Integrity

  • Plagiarism, cheating, or any form of academic misconduct is strictly prohibited.
  • Violators will face disciplinary actions, including expulsion from the institution if necessary.

6. Discipline and Conduct

  • Students must adhere to the institution’s code of conduct.
  • Disrespect toward faculty, staff, or peers will lead to disciplinary proceedings.
  • Damage to institutional property will incur penalties.

7. Research Guidelines

  • All research must be approved by the Directorate of Research.
  • Ethical guidelines for handling animals must be strictly followed during research activities.

8. Course Withdrawals and Transfers

  • Course withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing to the Registrar’s Office.
  • Transfers between programs are subject to approval and the fulfillment of eligibility criteria.

9. Awards and Recognitions

  • Scholarships and awards are available for meritorious and deserving students.
  • Participation in research and co-curricular activities is encouraged.

10. Amendments to Regulations

  • The institution reserves the right to modify or amend academic regulations as required.
  • Changes will be communicated to students in a timely manner.
